- The Parish has many thriving clubs and societies catering for a
diverse range of interests:
Failand Society:
The Society's season starts in September with a Wine and Cheese Party then
interesting presentations are given once a month in the Failand Village Hall
through to March. The programme also includes a Christmas Quiz, a dinner in
April,
a day out in May and the Annual General Meeting in June. The aim is to meet together and get to know people:
new members are always very welcome.

Failand Drama Circle:
- Based at Failand Village Hall, this group aims to promote
amateur theatre. Typically the group stages 3 productions per year, a
play and 2 musicals, and holds a number of club nights and social activities.
A warm welcome is offered to those interested in performing,
helping backstage, directing or joining as a social member. For more

The Failanders' Club:
- The Club was founded on Wednesday 12 February 1986 by 17 retired residents
of Failand and now has over 60 members who meet on the second Wednesday of
each month for coffee, lunch or occasional outings. Membership of this
friendly club costs £1 per year.

Failand Women's Institute:
Failand WI was started in 1947 and over the years has proved a valuable
source of friendship, fellowship and fun for all the ladies who have been or are
still associated with the organisation.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month (with the exception of
August) in Failand Village Hall commencing at 7:30, with attendance by a
speaker. Light refreshments are also served.
Outings and events are organised throughout the year and new members are very

Portbury Cricket Club:
Portbury Cricket Club is based in Lower Failand. To find out
